What To Expect.
My goal is for you to utterly love the entire experience and the best way to
ensure that is for me to share with you what to expect.
Then you can figure out if we’re a dream fit.
Firstly,
I do things a
little differently
I approach this photoshoot as an experience and
one that should be a whole lot of fun.
Think of this more like a crazy fun and adventurous date night
with a red headed British girl third wheeling along and
she happens to have a good camera and
great eye for awesome photos.
Yes I could stand you in front of an epic sunset or beside the Cherry Blossom trees and get pretty photos.
But documenting your connection and your story deserves more than that.
That’s why I aim to incorporate as much of you as possible, to reflect your passions intertwine so much more of a story into these images.
How do I achieve that?
Here’s how…
Comfort
I like to get to know my couples.
Over email or facetime I want to learn about your story, how you got together and what you enjoy doing together.
I never want to show up to a shoot feeling like strangers and pride myself in always leaving a shoot as friends for life.
My goal is to always have my couples feel super comfortable as quick a possible. No awkward poses or cringey moments. Just authentic time spent together interacting.
Because let’s face it, we’re not models and being in front of a camera can be daunting. I’ll often have couples warn me ahead of time that ‘they’re just not very photogenic’ or ‘are super awkward for photos’. But rest assured you will do awesome, none of the couples you see on this site are models, they are regular couples like you and are just madly in love and up for an evening of adventure, fun and cozy snuggles.
Connection
Connection is how I capture those photos that make you feel something when you see it and it’s my eternal goal throughout the session. Everything I ask you to do is to help create an interaction which releases an emotion, a raw expression and an authentic response.
So nope, I won’t be having you look at the camera and say cheese whilst perfecting your chin tilt and hand placement. Instead I’ll have you interacting and being present, with light hearted fun and intimate, deeper moments of connection.
No stress, just laughter and love for a whole hour.
With the overall goal being to create authentic photos of your love.
Individuality
Now this is where we really hit the home run and my favourite part of planning my couples sessions. By getting to know you and what you enjoy doing together we design a unique golden hour session just for you.
I’m not here trying to repeat the same thing time and time again. Just as every couple is so different so should each session be.
So we try to incorporate your passions, what you love to do, places you like to go and anything else in between with the aim of adding as much depth and story to these photographs as possible.
Love to skateboard together?
Have a favourite trail you always walk with a Timmies?
Enjoy dancing salsa or eating kawartha dairy ice creams?
Spend your time at your families cottage, swimming and roasting marshmallows on the fire with a good beer?
It’s ALL game and I’m down for whatever makes your love story yours.

Funny thing, it turns out it's pretty important we are a good fit for one another.
I want you to have the best possible experience and would 100% prefer you opt for another photographer in order for you to get exactly that. The experience you have with your photographer heavily affects how you feel about your photos at the end. I'm not trying to butter you up or trick you into booking up with me. My goal is that we are both shouting from the rooftops and doing happy dances in our home about working together, that's what you deserve from your photographer.
We’re about to become friends for life!
I am not a vendor and you are not my client.
I know it sounds a little cheese worthy but I honestly look to connect with my couples on a much more meaningful level.
We will have so much fun on the shoot exploring your favourite place or enjoying your favourite indulgence
whilst getting to know each other and snapping some killer shots.
I stay connected with my couples for years, returning to capture many milestones and it’s just pretty awesome.
There’ll be no cheese.
I’m not going to be getting you to look at the camera and smile. It’s just not what I’m about.
I’ll be looking to have you interacting with each other.
Don’t worry I won’t leave you hanging, of course I’ll give you guidance for what to do and
how to cozy up for all the cute and intimate shots.
They’ll just be all focused on creating connection, emotion and reactions.
I basically want you loved up, laughing and loving on each other the entire time.
You’ll still look like you.
Editing is amazing and yes I edit your photos. I’m sure you’ve checked out my work by now and got a good sense of my style.
After your session I will be working hard to edit them into works of art for you to adorn your walls.
I edit your photos for tone, exposure, contrast and light skin touch ups, like spot removals.
I do not over edit.
My goal is to create a cohesive album of gorgeous photos that look like you, that capture you both just as you are.
