For sure I could wrap your little one up in a basket or use photoshop to have them sleeping in a flower and they’d be super pretty but that’s just not my vibe. Why not?

My hope is that the photographs we create together represent your tribe and reflect your family’s unique love story.
I’m not trying to replicate the same shoot over and over, I’m looking to document your love, your way.
How do we achieve that?
In Your Home
One of the greatest things about Lifestyle Newborn Sessions is that they are done in your home, with your life as the backdrop. This allows us to bring in more of your story, using your lounge, bedroom, kitchen and nursery as our studio. We get to include so many special family heirlooms that help add depth and extra meaning to every shot. From Great Grandma’s rocking chair to that crazy piece of art you picked up whilst backpacking Southeast Asia it’s all possible with lifestyle newborn sessions. So let’s make your session include as much of your family’s story as possible.
Comfort
I pride myself in becoming your long lost friend pretty quick. It’ll soon feel like I’ve popped over for a catch up and happen to be a rad photographer too.
Shooting the session in your home naturally brings along an instant level of comfort from the get go. No stressful car ride with a newborn, all the bits and bobs you need to care for your little one right there next to you. It’s just a reassuring and comforting thing to be able to stay in the warmth of your home and have the photoshoot happen in the place you’ve built a life, a love and a history in.
Connection Over Perfection
The core of my photography and the root of my attention.
I am not looking to capture perfection. You won’t find me listing out 101 instructions on where your chin needs to be or photoshopping your little ones face until it’s a porcelain doll in post production.
Don’t worry, I won’t leave you hanging with no idea what to do on the other side of the camera. I’ll give you things to do with the goal of creating an interaction, an emotion or a connection. That’s when I’ll press that shutter button. That’s how we get those photos that take you back to the feeling you had and that is my goal.

Funny thing, it turns out it's pretty important we are a good fit for one another.
I want you to get the best possible experience and would 100% prefer you opt for another photographer in order for you to get exactly that. Because the experience you have with your photographer heavily affects how you feel about your photos at the end. I'm not trying to sweet talk or trick you into booking up with me. My goal is that we are both shouting from the rooftops and doing happy dances in our mom leggings at home about working together, that's what you deserve from your photographer.
I only take on a few Newborns each month
It’s so important to me to be able to offer a unique experience to each of my families of the highest level.
Lord knows babies do not follow a schedule and so I limit my monthly newborn bookings to ensure ease of
session movement should baby come early or stay inside a while longer.
I won’t be asking you to do the cheesy stuff
I’m not going to be getting you to look at the camera and smile. It’s just not what I’m about.
I’ll be looking to have you interacting with each other and with your little one.
Don’t worry I won’t leave you hanging, of course I’ll give you guidance for what to do and
how to cozy up for all the cute and intimate shots. They’ll just be all focused on creating connection.
You’ll still look like you
Editing is amazing and yes I edit your photos. I’m sure you’ve checked out my Lifestyle Newborn work and got a good sense of my style.
After your session I will be working hard to edit them into works of art.
I edit your photos for tone, exposure, contrast and light skin touch ups like spot removals and so on.
I do not over edit. My goal is to create a cohesive album of gorgeous photos that look like you, that capture your new baby just as they are.
