Winter Wonderland Engagement Shoot || Toronto Photographer || CopperRed
I have been longing to get outside with a couple who are game for an adventure in the snow and finally I got exactly that and I am beyond excited to share the photos with you.
I am never looking to just go out and photograph the plain and unoriginal. With each shoot I seek to reach the best locations and capture the most unique images. Of course the snow adds an extra awesome element this time of year.
We started out in the most quaint town of Elora wandering through the streets with the best shop fronts. I truly felt like I was back home in England strolling around a west country town.
There are so many awesome spots to stop and shoot at all around Elora. I always try to add diversity to my couples images and the Old Mill wall was the perfect backdrop to capture some laughter.
I always ask my couples to trust in me because I see things they may not. After strolling through the town we headed to the Elora Gorge lookout and on route spotted this old barn garage. Of course there was no way my photography eyes could miss it and we just had to use it.
Next we moved to the gateway to Narnia lol. After a couple of days of warm weather a lot of the snow had melted away and this beautiful scenery was left as our playground.
And what a playground it was. I was in a dream photographing this incredible couple in this incredible park.
Following this snowy forest exploration came the highlight of our session. When I say I am an adventurer I truly mean it, I push the limits and love doing it. Victoria and Facundo were my dream couple as they embraced my crazy and just rolled with it.
First up....Ice Staircase!
We laughed so much getting down these stairs and had no idea quite how we were to get back up. After this staircase ended we were still left will about a 25 meter climb down to the river bank. Facundo decided the safest way was to ride it like a slide, so he did and we followed suit. Check out the video on my Instagram feed! What champions!
I am a lover of natural light and a chaser of it. My couples photography shoots are always in the 'golden hour' and I would never change that. This time of day simply produces the the most beautiful, soft, glowing light and I love it.
As I watch from behind my lens the interaction of my couples and their connections I always think about their love story, their journey that they have shared with me and how much I love being a small part of capturing where it's at. I know that these photos will last for generations and be shared with their loved ones all around the world.
So document your journey, create memories and capture them to be enjoyed forever.
A snap shot is all I see of your journey but what an awesome glimpse I get to experience. I am so grateful for the opportunity to do this job.
Love never grows old and I will never grow old of photographing real love stories.
Until my next awesome adventure....
