Who doesn't love Love???

I met Jordan at the Toronto Bridal Show back in April and she and Johnny booked me up as their photographer. Their wedding is in 2017 down in the Niagara region so we thought we should make the most of the fall colours for their engagement photos.

Now I believe greatly that in order to capture the most natural and beautiful wedding photos it is crucial to build a relationship with your photographer. Engagement photos are a great way to begin this process. It allows you to get a feel for how moving/posing in front of the camera is going to be, so come your wedding day you are slightly more comfortable and kind of know what to expect.

Jordan wanted to do something a little different and so chose to travel far from their hometown of Niagara and shoot their engagement photos over here in Toronto. So we decided on the stunning spot of Bluffer's Park in the East End of Toronto.

This location is a frenzy with photographers on a beautiful fall saturday evening at sunset. It's an absolute hot spot.
Despite this it was worth it! How stunning is this shot with the cliff and fall colours in abundance?!

One of the best things about the Bluff's is the diversity of backdrops. It has everything and we made the most of it all.

These two made the session SO much fun. They were game for anything and everything. They were patient as we waited our turn for the great photography spots around the bluffs.
I am so grateful to work with couples who throw themselves fully into the photo shoot, and trust in me. It makes my job so much fun.

Who would have known that Toronto has a hidden gem like this hey?! It is absolutely picturesque. A photographers dream.
The incredible October weather we have been loving this year most definitely helped us out.

Trying to grab this photograph was a challenge. It is a popular spot with tourists and locals and therefore is rarely unobstructed by other bodies. But what a view, it was definitely worth the wait.

Taking photographs of couples from behind tree's, around walls, or through fences is one of my favourites. It gives a sense of privacy within the photo for the couple. Almost like the paparazzi sneaking a quick shot of them all loved up.

Now this was a little crazy but SO SO SO much fun to photograph.
On an October evening we jumped right into Lake Ontario and it was surprisingly warm. I am sure the other photographers on the beach must have thought I was insane to take my couple into the lake for some photos. Especially as I am yet to purchase underwater casing for my camera. But hey, everything worth capturing is worth a risk. I feel like it paid off.
Jordan and Johnny are officially troopers for getting on board with this idea!

And thats a rap. Another session full of exploring, laughing, getting to know each other, more exploring, some crazy ideas and all around fun.
I cannot wait to see these two become Mr & Mrs next year.
I am excited to capture more of their love story.
