// Kristine Expecting // A Sunrise Maternity Photography Session

Being a Toronto based photographer leads to many beautiful city based shooting locations but there is nothing better than finding new gem's outside of the city. 
During a maternity session out near Caledon I came across this incredible spot on the side of the road.  The photographer within me needed to shoot there asap. 
As I did not have any expectant mummies lined up for the following week and the fall weather was drifting away fast, I went on the search to find a model. 

The beautiful Kristine came forward to model for me and we were set to plan our maternity session that week. 
We met at sunrise and the sky was full of clouds. This brought us a little extra time with such an incredible setting.

The field was full of stunning wild flowers and a misty fog to die for. 
The colours of fall in Canada are unexplainable. It is one of my favourite things about moving here from England. The tree's colours were on fire and it was simply dreamy. 

Kristine was such a trooper walking through dew filled grass and long grassy reeds. Entertaining the artist in me and trusting that it would create the most beautiful photos for her to treasure. 

This secret spot is only 30 minutes outside of Toronto and well worth the drive. I have since been back with another maternity couples and a bride and groom! 

As the rays of sunlight began to finally push through the thick clouds it set a breathtaking pinky hue across the field. This colour worked great with Kristine's light pink maternity gown. We could not have planned it better. 

I handmade this floral headband specifically for this maternity photo shoot. I am an absolute lover of flowers and the new trend of halo's. I love how they photographed and think I might be creating more for future photography sessions. 

When the weather permits I love to photograph maternity sessions outside. This location makes me yearn for the spring already! I cannot wait to see what wild flowers grow there in the new year. 

So don't restrict your photography location. Explore your city or even province and always keep your eyes open for those hidden spots others haven't noticed.
