I couldn't help myself, photography is in my blood || Danielle + Tecwyn Evans
Last week my brood of tiny humans along with my hottie of a husband and myself were celebrating the wedding of my sister-in-law in beautiful Basingstoke, England.
I tried my best to resist taking my camera but of course I failed epically and along it came. Secretly I love that I got to snap away and capture some cute moments without being the designated photographer. It is very rare that I am not working the weddings I attend and so I was relishing in it.
The entire wedding day was beautiful. The classic English weather prediction was of course dodgy rain for days leading up to the big day and then on the day itself we were blessed with gorgeous, sunny heat. Typical.
We travelled down from Wales the night before and got to stay in a beautiful country golf hotel. The kids had a blast on the giant bed and in the ginormous tub. It was a great morning of fun and excitement whilst we prepared for aunty Danielle's special day. I have discovered however that taking two small kiddos to a wedding is no small feet. Especially when they are page boys and have to keep their suits clean and crisp and you are just praying they happily walk down the aisle. Juggling which point in time you opt to pop them in their tweed suits felt like I was gambling lol.
Of course they came down the aisle like two angels and I was one proud mumma. The rest of the service was spent bribing Joel with candy to keep him quiet. You just do what it takes to make it through the super important parts without ruining it for the guests, anyone know what I mean?
After the ceremony they were free to roam and play and get messy so we (I) could relax and enjoy the yummy bubbles and canapes. Croquet was set up on the lawns and my Canadian kids have no clue what that is and so proceeded to kick all the balls around the garden. With a soccer coach for a dad this will be our normal forever, see a ball, kick it!
Joel was absolute toast by the reception and managed to sleep through the entire meal and speeches which was actual a God send. The evening was spent dancing, laughing and spending time just enjoying family and friends. It was a great day that hold so many special memories for us now. Congratulation Mr and Mrs Evans!!
So here are some of the shots from the secret 2nd photographer, me lol. Enjoy.
