'The Cuttings Introduce Jenson' | Authentic Newborn Lifestyle Photographs | CopperRed Photography
How special, the opportunity to spend time with a friend and capture some beautiful photographic art of her growing family that they can cherish and enjoy for years.
It's not often that I get to photograph friends. We left the UK four and a half years ago now and that meant leaving behind the opportunity to do life with the friends we had had for so long. We knew we would miss out on weddings, engagements, births and the day to day fun of coffee mornings and summer bbq's. So heading home last summer opened an opportunity I didn't want to miss. I was looking to branch out into Lifestyle Newborn Photography and a friend of mine was having a baby at the perfect time.
So this is Jenson! Beautiful baby boy number two for the Cutting family and wow is he a gorgeous kiddo. He was such a delight to capture, so peaceful and calm.
Jenson's big brother Harrison is a complete character. So much energy and fun in such a small little boy. He was climbing and running and jumping throughout the session, creating lots of laughs and smiles.
Harrison is also completely loved up with his baby brother. It just melted my heart to see how gentle and loving he was towards him. I have two boys myself and I often say that the greatest gift we gave my eldest son was his little brother. Watching the relationship between siblings grow and flourish is simply priceless.
Moving across to Lifestyle Newborn Photography opens the door to capturing much more authentic photographs that truly represent each family's uniqueness and individual connections. The more Lifestyle Newborn sessions I shoot, the more and more I fall in love with everything it encapsulates. Every session is original, every session is a real reflection of the love within the family and the fact that it takes place within their own home means that each photo holds within something extra special.
It is definitely a newer approach to capturing your family. For so many years newborn photos and family photos in general have sought to be 'perfect'. Techinically perfect, blemish free and overall flawless. The aim was not to capture emotion but to capture a 'look'. The wave and tide that is coming with the more natural and relaxed angle to these sessions is extremely endearing. It is so easy to fall in love with photos that document more then people, they document relationships, emotions, connections, love stories and everything in between.
The goal is not to create 'perfect' imagery but impacting photos that spark an emotion within you. That create a feeling and bring back memories of that time.
So if you are contemplating booking up a newborn session for your new arrival you should definitely take a moment to check out the Lifestyle approach and the goodness it holds. Consider what you are looking for from your photographs, what you hope for them to show.
